Jetson Nano DIY Car

Letztens habe ich ein Nvidia Jetson Nano Dev Kit erhalten. Zum Testen wurde es direkt auf ein Kettenfahrzeug-Bausatz montiert und ausprobiert. Ziel des ersten Test war es, das Fahrzeug komplett selbstständig fahren zu lassen, ohne dass es den Wohnzimmerteppich verlässt und Kollisionen mit vor ihm liegenden Gegenstände vermeidet.

Folgende Bauteile habe ich verwendet:
– Nvidia Jetson Nano Developer Kit
– Kettenfahrzeug Chassis mit zwei 9V DC Motoren
– Edimax 7811 Wifi USB stick
– L298N motor driver
– 0,96″ 128×64 OLED I2C display
– Raspberry Pi Cam V2.1 (V1.3 funktioniert nicht)
– 2x VTC5a 18650 Akkus + Batteriehalter für die Motoren
– 10000mAh 5V 2,4A Powerbank für den Jetson Nano

Dann habe ich ca. 150 Aufnahmen mit der installierten Raspberry Pi Cam von unserem Wohnzimmer gemacht und damit das PyTorch/AlexNet Modell gefüttert. Den Code dazu habe ich größtenteils von dem Open Source Projekt Jetbot von Nvidia übernommen, welches auch auf dem Jetson Nano aufbaut. Änderungen musste ich praktisch nur an der Motoransteuerung vornehmen.

Auf dem OLED Display lasse ich vor allem SSID und IP-Adresse der WLAN Verbindung ausgeben, da ich ab und zu zwischen den Netzwerken wechsle und dann weiß, wie ich auf den Nano zugreifen kann.

Betrieben wird der Nano im 5W Modus über eine 10000mAh Powerbank. Für das einfache Kollisionsvermeidungs-Beispiel reicht das aus, ich befürchte aber, dass ich recht schnell an die Grenzen stoßen werde und dann nach einer besseren Stromversorgung Ausschau halten muss.
